Ryko has been studying the natural healing arts for 25 years. He has studied with various masters around the world under different systems of instruction, including Yoga, Tai Chi, Esoteric Buddhism, Kabbalah, Hermeticism as well as with Australian Aboriginal, Native American Indian and Maori elders. Combing all of the above, with a unique and lively approach, Ryko's gift is to "make the subtle practical" with humour and language that is accessible to all. Over his career, Ryko has taught thousands of people how to increase their mental acuity, health and vitality through optimal-lifestyle and wellness practices, including – in a one-on-on context – with Hollywood celebrities, international sports stars, European & Middle-Eastern royalty, and CEOs of leading multinational companies, and in a group context, with some of the world’s largest companies, such as Apple, Amazon, Uber, Fujitsu, Sony, Maersk, Boston Consulting Group, and Deutsche Bank. He works extensively as a consultant and therapist both in Australia and internationally, and is a regular ‘Visiting Specialist’ with luxury resort chains Four Seasons, Six Senses and the Peninsula. He has established a Wellness Retreat Program at Hayman Island in the Whitsundays which received critical acclaim, as well as a healing retreat centre in Japan. He has worked with Indigenous communities in both Australia and New Zealand and has been recognised as a ngunkari (healer) by the Indigenous elders of Central Australia. He has appeared in lifestyle magazines such as Men’s Health, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue and is the author of two books, “Wellness Practice Manual”, a practical guide to natural well-being methods, and “Loretta’s Suitcase”, an allegorical tale for young adults about opening to inspiration and wisdom.
