Qigong Simple Stance for Standing Exercises
Qigong exercises that are done standing have a particular stance that is very important.
This stance serves as the foundation for cultivating stability, relaxation, and optimal energy flow. It helps align the body, open the energy channels, and create a strong yet relaxed posture that allows Qi to circulate freely.
A proper stance also enhances grounding, connecting us to the earth’s energy while maintaining an upright yet effortless structure, ensuring balance and longevity in our practice.
This stance develops excellent “rooting power”, a term used in Taoist energy development to refer to the energy that one receives from the earth. Most martial arts depend on this earth power for their effectiveness, just as many electrical systems need a ‘ground’ for the circuit to be secure.
